Abstract :
In a multi-storey building, there is one heavy equipment which is very dominant in the overall construction process, namely the tower crane. This tool is used as a tool to lift material (material handling equipment) from one place to another, either vertically or horizontally. In the tower crane productivity construction project, what work is being done. Cycle time greatly affects the productivity of the tower crane.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the productivity and optimization of tower cranes. The research was carried out at the JHL Hotel project - Galeri Gading Serpong. This research was conducted by storing tower crane 1 and tower crane 2 for one week, then from the data looking for the cycle time and productivity of each tower crane.
From the results of the optimization calculation, assuming (c) the optimal time is 113.87 hours compared to the assumption example (b) 119.63 hours and the assumption example (a) 116.68 hours. So in order to achieve the project work time required 2 units of tower crane type 2.
