Abstract :
Concrete is a material that is commonly used and is a major element in buildings. So far, oil palm empty bunches are used as fertilizer and bottom ash from the results of combustion which can cause environmental pollution This research uses Bottom Ash waste as a substitute for sand and Palm Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) as added material for concrete. The specimen is made with size a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm using the compressive test and split tensile test methods. The variation of the concrete which are normal concrete, 30% Bottom Ash waste as a fixed mixture substitution of the amount of sand as a independent variable and OPEFB fiber variations 0%, 2,5% , 5%, 5%, 7.5%, and 10%. This parameters are compressive strength, slump test and split tensile strength of concrete.. The optimum compressive strength and split tensile strength at the age of 28 days in variation 3, namely with a mixture of 30% Bottom Ash and 5% OPEFB fibers with a value of 21.653 MPa and 3.539 MPa. The lowest compressive strength test at 28 days old are normal concrete of 20.288 MPa with a tensile strength value of 2.312 MPa.
