Abstract :
In the Power Distribution System there is always an imbalance of load caused by the load - the burden of one phasa in low voltage. Then comes the current that flows on the neutral transformer. The presence of current flowing on the neutral transformer causes loss - loss of power (loss). Power loss or loss is the decrease in power supply sent from the power supply source namely PLN to the receiving customer. So in this case PLN as the party that provides electricity suffered losses, because to generate electrical energy alone uses a considerable cost but does not benefit fianansially from the sale of power costs. There are several problems that cause power losses, including technical power losses and non-technical electrical power losses. After analyzed, it was obtained that before the balancing there were power losses at night of a large amount (2.68%). During the day there is a large load imbalance (2.87%). To overcome the load imbalance, PLN broke the load to offset the load on the transformer. Balancing is a routine carried out by PLN in the framework of management of a distribution transformer. After the load rupture, the amount of power losses become reduced at night by (1.90%), and the amount of power losses that occur during the day is (0.79%).
