Abstract :
The 20 KV Soka feeder distribution network is an air network to meet household and commercial loads. Increasing population and load demand can result in increased potential for short circuit interference. To reduce and secure equipment in the distribution system caused by short circuit, a protection system is needed. Protection equipment has a coordination, the purpose of the coordination process is to find the time setting of the protection relay that allows it to operate. The final project writing is about calculating the magnitude of the 3-phase, 2-phase and 1-phase short-circuit fault currents and determining the settings and coordination of recloser protection (PBO), outgoing and incoming overcurrent relay. The results of the calculation of the maximum short-circuit current fault occurs in Soka feeders, namely the 3- phase short-circuit fault at point 0 of 11273 Amperes, while the short-circuit fault current that has a minimum value is located on the short circuit 1 short at point 12 of 6464.3 Amperes . TMS settings for overcurrent relay (OCR) on the incoming side = 0.3 seconds. seconds with Iset = 210 A and outgoing TMS side = 0.7 seconds with Iset = 420 A, While for TMS settings for recloser (PBO) in the protection region in the mid feeder is = 0.142 seconds with Iset = 210 A, For coordination between overcurrent relays (OCR) and reclosers (PBO) on Soka feeders, it can be seen that Recloser settings are faster compared to Relay relays more outgoing and incoming. This is because the Recloser becomes the main safety while the OCR becomes a back up if the Recloser fails to operate
