Abstract :
Power supply back up system is very much needed in the world of television and office industries. If the primary power is cut off or in trouble, a back up power supply system is needed to protect sensitive equipment from damage or loss of power. TV transmitter equipment is very sensitive to the fluctuation of electric currents and voltages, and this equipment works for 24 hours or non-stop, therefore a back up power supply system is needed if the mains power fails and a device that can provide a constant or stable voltage is needed. UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) or it can also be referred to as an uninterruptible power supply is an electronic device that is able to provide a temporary backup of electricity when the mains power is cut off. This UPS device can be used to protect all types of electronic devices that are very sensitive to current and voltage instability, this tool can minimize voltage noise, voltage distortion, voltage sag and voltage swells. The UPS provides temporary power when the primary power is off, this temporary power comes from the DC power stored in the battery charger. To measure the ability of the UPS to back up the power supply to the load, you can use the formula to find the battery working time. Based on parameter data on the Metro TV transmitter, the UPS is able to provide power to the load for 44 minutes, and from the calculation using the formula, the UPS is able to provide power to the load for 48 minutes. The percentage of parameters and calculations is 9%.
