Abstract :
The governor of the Hydroelectric Power Plant functions to regulate and withstand the rotating speed of the turbine and regulate the alternating current frequency generated by the 50 Hz generator. Governor is a component of hydropower that is used continuously. Thus, the governor often fails in the hydraulic system. The hydraulic system is one of the important components used in the governor. The hydraulic system is used as a driving force to operate the servo arm to adjust the guide blade (guide vane). Therefore this study aims to determine the root causes of the failure of the hydraulic work system. And find a solution to fix the problem. The larger the Q value that is moved, the Head value of the pump will increase. In this governor's hydraulic system the discharge (Q) is needed at 120 liters / s. while the new pump has a maximum Q of 130 liters / s. At the pump, the maximum discharge is 150 l / s. can be analyzed that after the replacement of the pump, the new pump is still sufficient to meet the discharge needs that are flowed into the system governor, but if you see the efficiency of the screw pump is 0.85% then the actual discharge generated by the new pump is 110.5 liters / s.
