Abstract :
One of the equipment used to prevent damage to the equipment at the substation due to overvoltage is a ligthning arrester. Therefore, lightning arresters must always be in good condition. Regular maintenance is needed so that the condition of the lightning arrester can always be known. The most common method used to determine the condition of lightning arresters is by measuring the leakage current. In this final project, the author will discuss the results of measuring the leakage current in the lightning arrester at the Cikupa substation using the LCM (leakage current measurement) measurement tool and how to recommend the percentage of leakage current to the lightning arrester. The results of the measurement of the leakage current of the phase R lightning arrester resulted in a value of 131 ?A, S phase 61 ?A and T phase 529 ?A. The results of the calculation of the percentage of leakage current of lightning arrester for the R phase produce a value of 87%, S phase 40% and T phase 352%. From the measurement results of the leakage current, it was found that the value of the leakage current in the phase T lightning arrester has exceeded the maximum value limit for the manufacturer's leakage current, which is 150 ?A, which means that it must be replaced, and the results of the calculation of the percentage of leakage current in the phase T lightning arrester are far above 100% so that the recommendation for the lightning arrester based on KEPDIR 0520-2.K / DIR / 2014 PT. PLN (Persero) is required to be replaced.
