Abstract :
replace the energy source with renewable energy sources. The most widely used nonrenewable
energy sources today are fossil fuels (petroleum, natural gas and coal). One effort to overcome the problem is to use wind energy. The wind turbine is one of the energy conversion engines that convert wind kinetic energy into mechanical energy on its axis. The horizontal axis wind turbine has a good self-starting ability that requires only low-speed wind to rotate the rotor from this wind turbine. A wind turbine with a diameter of 1800 mm not be able to anticipate wind speeds above 9 m / s. The horizontal axis wind turbine has constraints if the wind speed is excessive. Centrifugal
clutch can be used to anticipate the excess turbine spin speed. The dependent variable is turbine power, turbine turn speed and frictional force of centrifugal clutch. The high
rotation of the angina turbine when over speed causes the clutch centrifugal shoe to lift and hold back the turbine spin so as to keep the rotation steady.
