Abstract :
PT. PLN (Persero) is a state-owned company engaged in electricity. One of the problems experienced by PT. PLN in the distribution of electricity is the distribution of losses. Energy shrinkage is a condition or state in which the amount
of energy produced is not the same as the energy sold. One of the causes of increasing shrinkage is load imbalance. Balancing the load on the Work Board for Low Voltage (PHB-TR) work to reduce losses incurred by PLN UP3 Depok involved in the current flowing in the conductor neutral transformer. The
substation chosen for this load balancing is BTK substation (Bulak Tengki), this substation was chosen because it has an imbalance percentage of 10%. From the calculation results obtained by the load imbalance value of 12.67%. The value
of the load imbalance dropped to 7.67% after an attempt to balance the load. The value of energy losses caused by the current flowing in the neutral channel at the BTK substation for one month is 926.4 kWh. Furthermore, after repairing with
load balancing, the energy shrinkage value is reduced to 331.92 kWh. Financial loss (financial) of PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Depok due to the energy generated by the neutral current at the BTK substation for one month before balancing the load of Rp. 1,359,288 and financial money after balancing the burden of Rp.
487,019.57. The calculation is done during peak load (18.00-22.00). The target / load balance criteria are single-phase loads.
