Abstract :
The measurement of electrical energy at PT. PLN (Persero) customers becomes one of the parameters to determine the sales and payment transaction of electrical energy, by using kWh meter as an electrical energy measurement tool
that is installed on each customer. In electrical energy measurements are divided into two measuring systems, namely the direct measuring system and indirect measuring system. On the direct measuring system kWh meters are directly
connected to measure the customer's electrical energy, while on an indirect measuring system using a CT to measure the electrical energy connected with kWh meters. In applying the measurement of electrical energy in indirect measuring systems is often found problems such as a burning CT resulting in
unmeasured electrical energy. The burned CT is caused by a pattern of loading on the customer which causes the current flowing in the large busbar resulting in vibrations affecting the position of the iron buffer distance of the CT with the
Busbar thus causing the CT to stick directly with the busbar. Therefore, a CT replacement should be made by means of a CT mounting model circling the SR cable, so that no more energy is measured and kWh meters can measure the electrical energy. Based on customer data, it gained unmeasured energy during
interference of 4630 kWh and a less charged account to be paid by customers of Rp 4.877.151
