Abstract :
In the distribution of electricity from the power plant to the load, good continuity of service to consumers is needed. To obtain high system reliability, reliable protection equipment must be installed to minimize the disturbance. One component that is protected by a high protection system is a power transformer. At present the security system pattern that is widely used in power transformers in the substation is the Cascade pattern, but this pattern still has many weaknesses and not optimal performance. Therefore, we need another transformer safety system that is more accurate in measuring noise variables that can improve equipment safety while increasing the reliability of power supply to a 20 kV system. The analysis technique used in this study is a descriptive statistical analysis technique. Where in this study will be conducted a review of technical data that occur when changing the protection pattern of the protection of the transformer 2 150/20 kV in GIS 150 / kV New Senayan. The results of this study, namely the non-cascade pattern, testing of successful trip repeaters, Ihs (5000 A), Td (0.3408 s), and stress load transformer (28,968 MJ). Then the feeder fails to trip, Ihs (5000 A), Td (0.551 s), and the stress load transformer (46.835 MJ). Then in the cascade pattern, the successful trip test, Ihs (5000 A), Td (0.3408 s), and stress load transformer (28,968MJ). Then the feeder fails to trip, Ihs (5000 A), Td (1.5 s), and the stress load transformer (127.5 MJ).
