Abstract :
Electric motors play an important role in production process of industrial world, especially in manufacturing industries like PT. Barata Indonesia ? Generatiaon Division. However, continuous use of electric motors will decrease their performance and causing disruption as experienced by SULLAIR compressor on its induction motor at PT. Barata Indonesia Cilegon. which experienced interference with the burning of the stator due to phase loss caused by external interference factors such as dust, this disturbance is included in the protection index, and therefore the need for regular maintenance to minimize the occurrence of interference. In this case, the motor on the SULLAIR compressor engine has a disturbance so the action that must be taken is to repair the motor and replace the damaged component. The value of insulation resistance when the motor fault when measured between phase to ground and phase to phase is 0 because it is caused by a short circuit between phase to phase and phase to ground. After the motor, the insulation resistance value is improved when measured between each phase to the ground and the phase to phase is 1000 M?, which means the insulation value of the motor is in accordance with the standard.
