Abstract :
Load imbalances in a power distribution system are very common and the cause of the imbalance stems from single phase loads on low voltage network customers. As a result of the load imbalance arises the current in the neutral
conductor. The current flowing in this neutral conductor causes power losses. Therefore an analysis is made using a comparison method, by measuring the load before the load equalization work is carried out and compared to the time after the load equalization work is done. This load equalization is done by
transferring part of the load in the high-burden phase to the lower-burden phase so that a balanced phase load is produced. This final project research aims to determine the amount of power loss due to load imbalance during WBP before
and after load distribution, this research begins with the collection of load data, after that process the data and analyze the data obtained using the power loss formula. The power loss obtained after equal load is lower at 1,948 kW (4,94%)
compared to before the equalization of the power loss load of 2,683 kW (6,8%).
