Abstract :
The first idea of a steam turbine was made by Hero of Alexandria in 120 BC with the principle of reaction. After that all scientists in the world began to design steam turbines with the principles that they developed. Rapid development occurred after the industrial revolution. In 1904 the Mitshubishi Heavy industry began to make steam turbines for the first time and the steam turbine of Japanese manufacturer was chosen by the Indonesian government as the party that will build PLTU Suralaya Units 1 and 2 so 3 and 4. During this time PT Indonesia Power always buy from abroad their turbine blade for the Suralaya Unit 3 steam power plant, for example is last stage turbine blade which one of the most important components of steam turbine. For the writer?s dreams of the steam turbine will be produced in Indonesia so this design is made.
