Abstract :
Increased electricity consumption will make the transformer experience a high load and if not done more attention will make the transformer fail. Transformer oil which is an insulating transformer becomes a very important component for transformers. The breakdown voltage of the transformer oil is the ability of how much a transformer oil can withstand the voltage generated from the transformer winding. The greater the voltage through the oil, the better the transformer will be maintained from the voltage that can pass from the transformer oil. This research was conducted to see how the breakdown voltage affected by the overload on the transformer. The relationship of the load to the transformer oil breakdown voltage is analyzed by looking at the available data. In this study, the load current data obtained were phase R = 834 A; phase S = 734 A; phase T = 831 A; and current that flow in netral conductor wire N = 220 A Then for the transformer oil breakdown voltage data was 21,3 kV; 20,3 kV; 20 kV; 19,3 kV; 18,9 kV; 15,3 kV with an average of 19,3 kV with following SPLN D3.002-1:2007.
