Abstract :
Disturbances with small fault current values can still be detected by the Current Transformer (CT) so that the CBOG will trip and the interference current will not be felt by the protection at the GI. While large fault currents or fault currents that exceed the capability threshold of CT, the fault currents are not detected by CT and damage them, the interference currents will spread to other systems such as the GI so the GI will trip. If this happens it will result in a blackout on a feeder and cause damage to the CBOG special customer distribution substations TM. As the KDR308 substation is a substation serving special customer needs, the CT substation has a capacity ratio of 15/5, so that large fault currents cannot be detected by CT, therefore a CT-Ring with 800/5 capacity is installed to be able to detect larger fault currents. If a short-circuit fault occurs on the customer's side, the short-circuit current in the ratio of 15/5 should not exceed 160.65 A, if the current passing through CT> 160.65 A then CT will be saturated. Likewise, if there is a short circuit interruption on CT with a ratio of 800/5 it should not exceed 17,320 A, if the current passing through CT> 17.320 A then CT will be saturated.
