Abstract :
Partial Discharge is the phenomenon of the release of electrons that can bridge the isolation system either partially or completely in an insulator. Because this disturbance cannot be directly identified through the human senses, this disturbance can be detected with a tool called Ultra TEV (Transient Earth Voltage). Ultra TEV is a Partial Discharge (PD Detector) detection equipment that functions to detect and measure Partial Discharge on electrical equipment/components such as CT (Current Transformer), PT (Potential Transformer), Busbar, Load Break Switch, Circuit Breaker, Cable etc. This research was conducted at distribution substations of the type of concrete that was carried out using 6 samples of substations, namely 3 substations with partial discharge indication and 3 normal substations/no partial discharge indication. Based on the results of this study, the partial discharge phenomenon tends to occur in CBO type cubicles because in this type of cubicle there are many cross sections/electrical equipment such as CT transformer, PT transformer, PMT etc.
