Abstract :
Transformer is an electrical device that can transmit and convert electrical energy from one or more electrical circuits to another electrical circuit through a magnetic coupling and based on the principle of induction - electromagnet without changing the frequency. Distribution transformer is one component that has a very important role in distributing electricity from distribution substations to consumers. Insulation in a transformer is one of the most important components of a transformer. Insulating materials are often used for electrical insulating materials, especially so that electricity cannot flow if the insulating material is given an electric voltage. Shutdown testing/measurement is a test job that is carried out when the transformer is out. This work is carried out during routine maintenance and during abnormal investigations. This measurement aims to determine the condition of the insulation resistance between the winding and ground or between the two windings. The test results show the insulation resistance of the distribution transformer produced by PT. Sintra Sinarindo Elektrik has a greater value than the insulation resistance of distribution transformers produced by PT. Trafoindo Prima Perkasa.
