Abstract :
Transmission is the process of channeling from the power generation center to the substation to the next in the process to distribute to consumers in the electric power system. The disruption that occurs in the transmission of electric power is one of them is the appearance of corona in the delivery and causes a loss of power in the electric power transmission system. Corona is a charge jump that results in a spark that occurs on the surface of the transmission line conductor when the electrical voltage and electrical field intensity of a conductor exceeds the insulating power of the air around it. Data collection in this study uses several ways, namely by using corona cameras, taking temperature data, then doing calculations to produce power losses due to corona that occur in SUTET 500 kV Java 7 - Balaraja located in ULTG Cikupa. From the observations that have been done in the Cikupa ULTG region, the largest power losses occurred in 2021, namely in May amounted to 24639,612909 kW and the smallest amounted to 24312,22965095 kW in January.
