Abstract :
The substation is an important part in the distribution of electricity for that every equipment is monitored and maintained. One of the equipment in the substation is a power transformer. Power transformers in substations have a very important role, namely reducing the voltage from high voltage to medium voltage. The transformer has a basic life according to the IEEE Std C57.91-2011 standard is 20.55 Years. Loading and ambient temperature affect the condition and life of the transformer. The higher the load and the ambient temperature, the higher the transformer life shrinkage value. If the value of the life shrinkage is higher, it will reduce the basic life of the transformer. In calculating the life loss of the transformer due to loading and ambient temperature using the SPLN 17A standard. The data used in carrying out the calculations are data on the loading of the transformer unit 1 at the substation, the substation, and the ambient temperature. With the average loading for three months is 42,257 MVA and the environmental temperature is 32,891 oC . From the calculation results, the transformer unit 1 at the Durikosambi substation has been used for 10.2 years and has experienced a life loss of 1.85 years and it can be estimated that the remaining life of the transformer unit 1 at the Durikosambi substation is 8.49 years.
