Abstract :
It is particularly the function of pipeline is to send the fluids from one place into a different place, and also can dispose of substances that are contaminate in another important part. Pipes can be made of various materials, at hydropower Cirata is use pipes that made of galvanized. Galvanized pipe is protected from corrosion and carat so it is consider to more reliable and longer age. On each pipe that are flowing with the fluid will definitely suffer losses, the reason of losses of fluid flowing in every pipelines it cause of friction on the walls in the pipe and the fluid is called with the main disadvantage (mayor). While the loss may also occur because of many bends or valves in the pipeline or it is called secondary losses (minor). The impact of this loss may affect the discharge of water flow due to the friction that happen of reduce the rate of flow in the pipe, so it can influence on the system in the pipeline. Therefore it needs to do the calculation losses on existing pipeline system, it is very helpful to reduce the losses that occurred on the pipeline system. Also did not disrupt the purpose of the pipeline system.
