Abstract :
Batteries as a Dirrect Current (DC) power source have an important role to maintain continuity of customer service. The 110 Volt Dirrect Current (DC) battery at the substation serves as a voltage source for protection equipment, telecommunications systems, drive motors on PMT (breaker and power switch), PMS (separator switch) and emergency lights. The battery on the substation must still work reliably even in a state without a charger and blackout. By ensuring the battery in reliability, 2 years of maintenance is carried out by conducting battery testing using the battery capacity test method and testing needs to be done so that it can know the dicharger capacity and charger capacity. The efficiency of the battery will decrease if used continuously. If the efficiency of the battery decreases continuously and is not immediately maintained, it causes interference from the substation performance system. With the number of units 1 86 cells and the number of cells unit 2 88 cells obtained discharge capacity in unit 1 286.4 Ah and in battery unit 2 obtained discharge capacity 300 Ah. Battery efficiency can also be obtained based on discharge capacity obtained with unit efficiency of 1 by 94.2% and unit efficiency of 2 by 100%. Battery capacity is considered good if the battery efficiency is more than 80% based on SKDIR 2014 PT. PLN.
