Abstract :
Transformer is a power tool that can change the level of AC voltage by lowering or raising. Transformers work based on the principle of Electromagnetic Induction. Transformer is an important equipment that needs to be maintained and maintained so that the use of life in the transformer can be long. According to the IEEE standard C.57.91 of 1999 the normal life of the transformer is 20.55 years The estimated normal life of the transformer cannot be calculated with certainty due to various factors. Power transformers are designed to operate with an environmental temperature of about 20 0C. of the damage or failure of insulation from transformer oil is caused by changes in temperature or ambient temperature in the oil-immersed power transformer . In the final task research using an unindo brand power transformer with an rated power of 60 MVA that has been operating for approximately 10 years.
