Abstract :
Current Transformer is a type of transformer that is based for measurement by kWH meter and the distribution of excess current to the relay in case of interference. Current transformer capacity load with VA units will be connected with Current Transformer in accordance with its load rating As a safety will be overloaded on the Current Transformer, it is necessary to limit current with large capacity to enter the Current Transformer, in accordance with IEC standards. Thermovision phase S results are in an emergency with a final change in phase temperature S 54.18 °C. Then the results of burden Transformer Current core #2 Phase S testing and calculations obtained 31.7 VA above the burden rating of 30 VA. This causes a secondary side current reading on the consumer load current of 100%, only 94.8% and for the system voltage of 251.45 V exceeds the knee point voltage of 167.10 V. Therefore core #2 phase S Side A must be repaired for the burden side by replacing the load of the cable that has a smaller resistance than before. The result after improvements in testing and calculation of CT burden decreased to 14.18 VA in testing and 14.36 in calculations below its rating of 30 VA then for the system voltage of 166.79 V less than the knee point voltage of 167.10 V. So that for metering measurement and protection is normal again..
