Abstract :
In the distribution of electricity from the generator to the customer. Distribution transformer is a very important part in the distribution. The occurrence of disturbances in the transformer can cause damage to the transformer itself, which causes disruption of distribution services to customers. One of the disturbances that often occurs in a transformer is interference due to overload. A transformer can be said to be overloaded if the percentage of loading that overloads the transformer has exceeded 80% of the maximum capacity of the transformer. This will cause the transformer to overheat, causing a reduction in the life of the transformer, and reducing the quality of service to customers. In overcoming the overload, an action is taken so that the percentage of the load is reduced or returns to normal, namely by doing a Transformer Mutation. At the distribution substation E93C there is a transformer that is overloaded where the percentage of the load is 82.93%, and after several considerations, the transformer mutation is carried out and the percentage of loading at the E93C substation is 51.58%. From this it is evident that the Transformer Mutation can reduce or overcome the overload on the transformer.
