Abstract :
Electricity distribution is a system of distributing electrical energy from the feeder to the consumer's house. In the distribution of electrical energy, there are several important components that function to distribute electrical energy. One component of the distribution of electrical energy at the distribution level is a distribution transformer. Distribution transformer is a device used to change the level or voltage level from high to low or vice versa. In the distribution of electricity there are load imbalance events that can affect the distribution of electrical energy. One of them is the K2-685 substation which has a fairly high imbalance. Unbalance load is the load between the phases do not have the same value. Load imbalance can be caused by several factors, both internal and external factors. The load imbalance can be detrimental to PLN as the provider of electricity services. An unbalanced load will flow in the neutral wire and losses will occur. Losses are currents that are not used in an electrical network. Load imbalance can affect the neutral current which is directly proportional to the losses. The greater the imbalance, the current in the neutral conductor and the losses will be greater.
