Abstract :
Power losses are one of the effects caused by heat generation due to the size of the value of the measured contact resistance. Writing this final project discusses the influence of the value of contact resistance on the resulting power losses, where after analyzing what makes the value of contact resistance different in each phase and equipment, the next step is to analyze what are the effects of the value of losses. power generated from the value of the contact resistance. The result of the measured power loss on the 500KV Power Breaker 7A4 diameter is 0.308452 KW in 2019 and 0.352835 KW in 2021, while for the 7A2 diameter in 2019 it is 0.467353 KW and in 2021 it is equal to 0.417831 KW. The results of these power losses are still below the standard from PLN because the measured contact resistance value is still below the Side Acceptance Test (SAT) test value, which is the first test after the equipment has just been installed, and the value of the resulting power losses also affects the loss of electricity costs borne by PLN. Some ways that can be done to minimize the measured contact resistance value are to carry out routine 2-year maintenance and carry out level 1 inspections
