Abstract :
Along with the main needs of human life, electrical energy is a means of lighting and a tool to support the economy for humans, while the electrical energy is produced by power plants. To obtain reliable and long-lasting electrical energy, proper care and maintenance must be carried out, in order to meet the community's need for electrical energy. Maintenance itself is the main supporting activity to ensure the continuity of the role of the generator so that when needed it can be used according to the expected conditions. Maintenance is usually carried out only focused on checking, cleaning of damaged components, as well as replacing and providing lubricants, this results in a lack of generator reliability. However, the maintenance of the Gunung Sawur II PLTMH is carried out with planned maintenance including preventive maintenance, preventive maintenance includes routine and periodic maintenance. Measurement of water discharge and fall height can also serve as a way to determine the reliability of the PLTMH system. The power generated at this PLTMH is 15.4341kW, the turbine power is 9.1833kW, and the generator output power is 6.292kW. It can be seen from the test results that the power generated is maximum. And also if it is maintained periodically and correctly, the equipment in the PLTMH will also work optimally and the power obtained will also be maximized
