Abstract :
Insulating resistance is the resistance between two conduit cables or two parts that are insulated from one another. The insulation resistance test is used to determine the quality of the insulation resistance in the current transformer both between the windings and between the windings and ground. The occurrence of insulation failure can cause operation failure or even transformer damage. Based on the results of the discussion on the value of the transformer polarization index and Breakdown Voltage (BDV) at the PT. PLN (Persero) Substation UIT JBB UPT Duri Kosambi, that the average polarization index value in 2017 is 1.76, this indicates that the transformer is still in good condition. And the average polarization index value in 2019, which is 1.75, shows that the transformer is still in good condition. In testing the breakdown voltage (BDV) is divided into 2, namely the bottom oil and OLTC oil. Where the breakdown voltage value for bottom oil in 2017 obtained an average data of 84.8 kV and the value for breakdown voltage for bottom oil in 2019 obtained a result of 87 kV. Both values pass a predetermined standard IEC 60156 >50 kV so it is good to operate. The breakdown voltage at the bottom oil has increased by 2.2 kV. In the breakdown voltage of OLTC oil, in 2017 the average measurement data was 74.3 kV and in 2019 the average test value was 25.6 kV. The breakdown voltage of OLTC oil decreased by 48.7 kV. In 2017 the test value exceeded the standard IEC 60156 that had been set, which was > 50 kV, while in the 2019 test the average value obtained was below the predetermined standard, it was necessary to replace the transformer oil so that the insulation resistance worked optimally again. As the age of the transformer increases, if maintenance is not carried out, the value of the polarization index and the breakdown voltage of the transformer oil will decrease.
