Abstract :
Current Transformer (Current Transformer) is an equipment used for measuring the amount of current in the primary side of the electric power installation. Insulation in current transformers is an important part, because if there is a deterioration of the insulation it can result in failure of operation and damage to the transformer. To find out the isolation conditions in the transformer, a tangent delta test can be carried out. The tangent delta test aims to determine the value of the dissipation factor of the insulating material of an equipment. If the higher the tangent delta test results, it can indicate a decrease in the quality of the insulation. The delta tangent test for this current transformer uses the GST-GND method using the Megger Trax 280 tool. The results obtained in this delta tangent test for the R phase are 0.456% for the S phase of 0.367% and for the T phase of 0.450%. Based on the applicable standards of KEPDIR 0520-2.K/DIR/2014 the recommendation for the result of the delta tangent test is <1%, so it can be said that the current transformer isolation condition is in good condition. As for the way to improve the tangent delta value, namely by taking oil samples and replacing oil, if the results of the delta tangent test still exceed the applicable standards, a current transformer unit is replaced.
