Abstract :
Load imbalance in an electric power distribution system always occurs in low voltage network systems this is due to the increase in new power installation by the community with no regard for between phases. Unbalanced load gives rise to current flow on neutral delivery. The current flowing in the neutral delivery of this transformer causes a loss ? loss, namely loss - loss due to the presence of neutral current on the neutral delivery of the transformer and also the emergence of neutral current on neutral delivery can result in damage to electrical equipment such as transformers that occur due to load imbalance, resulting in neutral current. If the load on the transformer is not balanced, the neutral current will be even greater. The greater the neutral current will cause power losses.
Therefore, to reduce losses, it is necessary to balance the load. The transformer load balancing is carried out periodically every 3 months by moving the house slurry to an unbalanced phase. PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Bagan Batu. Where the balancing is done
