Abstract :
The distribution system itself functions to deliver and distribute electricity to customers. PT. PLN (Persero) maintains the electricity that is distributed so that it is of sufficient quality and with a minimum of disturbances that occur. In the delivery of electricity to distribution substations, it often cannot be delivered perfectly because at the time of sending electricity to customers using a conducting cable. This can reduce the power sent from the distribution substation to the customer. This reduced power delivered is called power loss. Apart from the conductor cable, shrinkage or losses can also come from the load imbalance. Therefore, the authors conducted research on substations that have these problems, namely at the DK256 and CBD30 substations. The power loss reduction method used to reduce losses is to equalize the load by transferring the excess load to a smaller load. From the results of load transfer carried out, the shrinkage at the DK256 substation which was initially 97,227 W was reduced to 88,861.1 W, while for CBD30, the initial shrinkage was 42,955.1 W, it was reduced to 35,436.9 W.
