Abstract :
The PLTU cooling system is divided into 2 systems, namely main cooling and supporting cooling (Open Loop auxiliary cooling water). The purpose of the main cooling system is to ensure the air required to compress the exhaust steam and in the condenser drain up. Then for cooling purposes, namely to provide cooling water in the "Heat Exchanger" of this cooling water or auxiliary cooling water. The cooling system also needs repairs or maintenance that is usually done so that damage or routine repairs occur in the cooling system. the damage that occurs in the (Open Loop auxiliary cooling water) section occurs due to high vibrations, causing this machine to have problems, this pump has a high vibration of about 6.71 mm/s and has entered zone D so this pump has just been done inspection carried out maintenance and found that from high vibration Caused by Unbalance. before balancing the Open Loop Auxiliary Cooling Water Booster Pump, the vibration decreased to RMS data of 1.85 mm/s. The vibration values that occur in the pump are classified in zone 'A' according to the ISO 10816-3 standard of pumps with a power of 90 Kw. After calculating the difference in the vibration reduction of 6.667 mm/s and the percentage of vibration reduction of 78.57%.
