Abstract :
ANALYSIS OFUNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM AT PLTGU BLOCK 1 MUARA KARANG. The UPS system is a tool used in various critical loads as a bac up on the SteamGas Power Power Plant, to overcome the disruption that occurs in the power transmission network (black out) and voltage failure from PLN. For power balance, the load is
distributed to Switchgear BUS 6.3 Kv. This is very necessary to support work performance
and load balance as in important equipment, especially for back-up esential equipment when black outinterference, such as securing turbine bearings so as not to lose lubrication, some lighting and control systems.
Qualitative method testing on UPS is done to find out how much ability UPS to supply load. The test obtained the results that THE UPS in PLTGU Block 1 is able to supply electrical
energy on the Switchgear BUS 6.3 kV for 3.97 hours and full load for 0.7 hours. This is to secure the turbine lubricant system and give the Emergency Diesel Generator system time to supplyi to all loads, so that the unit can recover immediately after a disruption occurs.
Therefore UPS works well can overcome the lag time EDG becomes normal because it has enough time to supply all the load.
