Abstract :
In an Electric Power System there is a distribution process from the generator to a load and in this case PT. PLN (Persero) UP3B Mataram as a state-owned enterprise engaged in the field of energy providers in this case, namely electrical energy, always strives to improve performance so that the need for reliable and optimal electricity supply. On the 20 kV side of the substation there are equipment that supports the performance of the substation, one of which is the Circuit Breaker. With the test on the Circuit Breaker in the 20 kV system, it is expected to be able to analyze the feasibility of the Circuit Breaker to operate. The data obtained will be analyzed based on standards that refer to the Decree of the Board of Directors of PT. PLN (Persero) Number 0520 ? 2.K/DIR/2014. This study uses quantitative methods combined with descriptive statistical analysis techniques, aiming to calculate the value and condition of insulation resistance, power loss due to contact resistance and the value of working time along with the simultaneous contact of the 20 kV cubicle Circuit Breaker system at the Ampenan Substation. After the analysis, it can be concluded that the value of the lowest insulation resistance is 3,550 M?/KkV, the power loss obtained is still very low because the value of the contact resistance is still according to the standard, namely 50 , and the value of the working time of the Circuit Breaker when trip or opening is not according to the standard, namely 36 ? 39, for the same time, the value of t is 10 milliseconds.
