Abstract :
The electric power protection system is very necessary to maintain the reliability of the electric power system. At the Matur feeder at the Padang Luar substation, there was a setting error in the Over Current Relay setting on the Recloser which caused customer outages in places that should not have been extinguished. This thesis discusses the ideal OCR and GFR settings for Matur Feeders with qualitative methods where this research was carried out by direct observation in the field as well as interviews with network and maintenance parties at PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Bukittinggi. The setting results obtained are for OCR on Rec. 2 The primary iset is 157.5 A with a TMS of 0.046. For Rec. 1 obtained The primary iset equal to 315 A with a TMS of 0.077. For OCR outgoing feeders, the primary Iset is 436.8 A with a TMS of 0.116. While the setting results obtained from the GFR are for Rec. 2, Rec. 1 and GFR outgoing feeder obtained primary Iset equal to 6.339 A. For TMS on Rec. 2 which is 0.274, for TMS on Rec. 1 is 0.31, and for TMS the feeder's outgoing GFR is 0.323.
