Abstract :
The study is quantitative descriptive in PT.PLN (Persero) UPDK Singkawang with its title: cost efficiency analysis of using electro coagulant instrument device in the coagulation process of pt. PLN (Persero) UPDK Singkawang. The aim of this research is to find out the comparison of using Polyaluminium Chloride chemicals toward the use of Electro Coagulant and to compare the cost range required in using Polyaluminium Chloride chemicals toward the use of Electro Coagulant. The comparison result analysis of Polyaluminium Chloride chemicals and the use of Electro Coagulant in the pH level and NTU shows difference. The pH difference in using Polyaluminium Chloride chemicals and Electro Coagulant sequentially is in range 6,48 and 6,69, seen from insignificant difference in the pH level with only 0,21 gap. For NTU calculation in the use of Polyaluminium Chloride chemicals and Electro Coagulant sequentially is in range 6,41 and 2,42. The difference in NTU is 264% better using Electro Coaguant than Polyaluminium Chloride chemicals. The cost comparison result analysis required in the use of Polyaluminium Chloride chemicals and Electro Coagulant sequentially is in range of Rp. 30.000.000,- and Rp. 15.079.320,- . therefore, the cost can be cut as much 50%. The use of Electro Coagulant has been said to be effecient because showing better NTU rate and cost than the use of Polyaluminium Chloride chemicals.
