Abstract :
The average irradiation level from the sun in Indonesia can reach 1000-1500 N/m2, and the peak irradiation can reach 4-6 hours/day. In Indonesia PLTS is being developed to become a reliable generator, but because the efficiency level of PV is still relatively small to produce electrical energy, it is necessary to develop and improve it, one of which is by using the Solar Axis Tracker. Solar Tracker works by flexibly directing solar panels towards the direction of sunlight so that energy from the sun can be absorbed optimally. In this research, an accurate Arduino-based Dual Axis Solar Tracker design was made using materials that are easily available and easy to make. Dual Axis Tracker tracks the movement of the sun with four axes by paying attention to the Altitude and Azimuth axes of the sun's movement and the solar tracker moves starting from the northeast - northwest in the test the optimal value obtained in the test is at 10 am where the horizontal angle of the solar tracker leads to 39 degrees northeast and the angle of inclination or the height of the sun is 23 degrees in following the movement of the sun. so it can be concluded Solar Tracker helps improve the efficiency of absorption of sunlight.
