Abstract :
As the times change, the need for electricity will also increase from year to year, so that if energy sources that can be used are not developed continuously, the energy currently used will run out. The intensity of solar radiation in Indonesia is relatively constant, so there is a need for optimal utilization in this sector with the development of solar power plants. In carrying out the construction of a solar power plant (PLTS) requires good planning so that later it can work optimally. In this study, the authors plan to build PLTS in the Smart Electronic System Laboratory at ITPLN with an On Grid system. The selection of the On Grid system because they want to reduce the use of electrical energy in the Smart Electronic System laboratory from the use of PLN. In this PLTS planning requires an Initial Investment of Rp. Rp. 222,434,000 which consists of the cost of purchasing components and installation costs. The estimated load on the ITPN Smart Electronic System is estimated at 66,490 kWh, with the number of panels used as many as 78 solar panels, which are arranged in 3 parallel circuits and 26 series circuits, and the inverter capacity thatwill be used is 15 kW. This PLTS is planned for the return on initial investment to occur in the 13th year of the 1st month of the project's planned life of 20 years.
