Abstract :
The protection system used is to protect components from leakage currents that can cause damage to components and touch voltage to humans. The system used usually uses copper cables, but as technology develops, the use of grounding components is made as effective as possible by using aluminum clips. In general, they are both good conductors or conductors. By using a good and correct defense system, the implementation of the installed protection system will work properly and according to its purpose. To achieve these functions and objectives, this study aims to find out which protection system effectiveness is better so that it can be applied to solar power plant installations in the future. The results showed that a grounding system using a grounding clip was better than a grounding system using a grounding cable. The comparison is taken from the aspect of current conductivity / good and effective conductor properties. This comparison can be seen in the difference in the resistance value between the aluminum clip and the 1.25mm cable, namely on array 1 of 0.06 and on array 10 of 0.082
