Abstract :
Grounding of the electric power system aims to secure equipment and living things from the danger of overcurrent which can be caused by short circuit currents or currents from lightning strikes. The ground resistance in Tower 94 and tower 97 has an earth resistance value above the SPLN T5.012_2020 standard where for the 150 kV SUTT tower the earth resistance is 10 Ohms. Based on these data, the driven rod method and the counterpoise method were chosen. The driven rod method uses electrodes and the counterpoise method uses galvanized wire. To reduce the ground resistance of the 2 types of methods, in this study, the length of the electrode/galvanic wire varied with the resulting earth resistance value. From the results of the study, it was found that to achieve the standard resistance value, a minimum of 8 meters of electrodes and galvanized wire is required. Using quantitative methods because it uses data as an analytical tool for information about what you want to know and uses descriptive statistic analysis techniques, namely the data that has been obtained and then processed to get the desired index. The processed data will be described during the data analysis process.
