Abstract :
In this study Ni-SiC Coating Was carried out by pulse electrodeposition method in AISI 410 to reduce the corrosion rate due to AISI 410 in industrial applications, namely turbine blades often exprience corrision problems, the coating process was carried out using a solution of nickel sulfate 62,5 g/l, boric acid 11,25 g/l and nickel chlorid 11,25 g/l at a temperature of 600C with a density of 3 A/dm2 and the duration of the coating process the duration of the coating processs 60, 120, 180 minutes. Duty cylce used is 80 % and pulse frequency 100Hz testing of Ni-SiC coating thickness structure using optical microscopy to see the results of Ni-SiC Coating thickness. Corrosion rate testing was carried out using a CMS tool. The results showed that the longer the coating process, the smaller the corrosion rate. The smallest corrosion rate 0,73027 mmpy at a current density of A/dm2 and time is 180 minutes.
