Abstract :
Power loss is a classic problem in power distribution system. Power loss can be caused by low power factor, load imbalance between phases, and network length. This research aims to recognize the calculation of low voltage networks through the calculation of power shrinkage, namely falling voltage, resistance channel, average power loss, average strain power on the SM129 distribution station. On the study this time using quantitative methods. The quantitative method used here is a quantitative correlational method. During the day load, the relative power loss of the distribution substation SM129 is 2.8%, while the night load is 2.3%. At the time of measurement, it is known that the current on the neutral conductor is very large. Where at the time of day load, the loss at SM129 distribution substation is 421.04 watts, while at night load is 1760.84 watts. There are several attempts that can be done to reduce shrinkage is to balance the load per phase to reduce the current flowing in the neutral conducting.
