Abstract :
The increasing public demand for electrical energy is in line with the problems faced. Distribution transformers that have an important role in the distribution of electrical power must really pay attention to the condition of the transformer, both from loading, voltage, power loss and others. Power outages due to damage to the transformer will affect the continuity of service to consumers to be disrupted. One of the causes of damage to distribution transformers is due to excessive loading which causes high loss of life of the transformer. The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of loading levels on two distribution substations at different locations and predict an increase in loading for the next 5 years as well as standardization in determining transformer life based on IEC 60076-7 . This study uses quantitative methods. The source of the data used is the PI07 and SP24 substation loading data obtained from PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Sape. Forecasting the load using the help of excel software with the forecast method. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that the greater the transformer loading, the higher the transformer life. Based on the loading data, the PI07 substation with a loading rating at the end of 2020 of 90.72% obtained a relative age loss of 9.25% and a remaining life of 13.8 years. At the SP24 substation with a loading rating at the beginning of 2021 of 75.1%, the relative life loss is 4.37% and the remaining life is 14.4 years.
