Abstract :
Transformers that are used for a long time will experience a decrease in performance, the reduced ability of the transformer will also have an impact on the decreased insulation ability of the windings. Transformers that have been used for a long time need to be monitored. To find out the condition of the winding insulation can be known by carrying out tests. This time, we will discuss the implementation of polarization index testing and tan delta testing as a reference for determining the winding isolation conditions of the auxiliary transformer unit in the gas turbine generator area of PT. Indonesia Power Semarang PGU. The polarization index test is a test aimed at determining the value of the leakage current that occurs, the conduction leakage current occurs in the insulation of the winding. The analysis process by comparing the test results for 10 minutes with the test results for 1 minute. The tan delta test or dissipation factor test is a test method carried out to determine the condition of the insulation on the transformer by measuring the capacitance value of an insulation on electrical equipment. From the results of the tests carried out on this transformer, it shows that the tan delta test conditions on the ICH + ICHL and ICH measurements on the HV and LV side tests are in the bad category, which indicates the condition of the insulation resistance used has deteriorated.
