Abstract :
This research on the grounding system of electrical installation equipment was carried out at the Saumata Suites Apartment. The type of electrode used in this electrical installation equipment grounding system uses a rod electrode with a diameter of 2.54 cm, a length of 500 cm and uses a TT type of grounding system. The Saumata Suites Apartment has a clay type and has a soil resistivity value of 100 . This study analyzes the grounding system by comparing the test results with the results of calculations according to the PUIL 2011 standard. In calculating the resistance value of the grounding system, the obtained value is 0.1805 . While the results of testing the resistance value of the grounding system obtained is 0.16 . The resistance value of the grounding system itself is influenced by several factors such as the distance of the electrode test, the temperature of the soil, the size of the electrode installed, and the resistance of the soil type. From the results of the test and calculation values obtained, there is a relatively large relative error, but the grounding system for electrical installation equipment is already serviceable and effective for securing grounding system equipment at the Saumata Suites Apartment.
