Abstract :
Solar energy is the energy that can be converted into electrical energy. There are several types of solar panels, each of which has its advantages and disadvantages. With the availability of resources and the development of increasingly efficient technology, easy access to solar panel products encourages people to install rooftop solar panels on their houses. Because many rooftop solar panels have been installed in Yogyakarta, but their performance is not optimal. The non-optimal performance of the PLTS is caused by the condition of sunlight irradiating the installed solar panels. This can happen due to several factors, including the influence of the ambient temperature, the surface of the solar panel and the angle of inclination in its installation. The test was carried out for 15 days in an outdoor area that has a large enough surface. Measurement of data consisting of tilt angle, panel temperature, voltage and output current of the panel is carried out to determine the optimal output power or power. And determine at what angle of inclination the solar panels get optimal results. This research uses polycrystalline solar panels with variations in tilt angles of 5?, 10? and 15?. The environmental temperature around the solar panels has the best performance is 39.8?C at 07.00 to 09.00 with the tilt angle of the solar panel installation in Banguntapan, Yogyakarta has an optimal output of 5? and the solar panels face north.
