Abstract :
The Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) in Tamanmartani village is a power plant managed by the community to increase the supply of electrical energy. This PLTMH is located in Tamanmartani Village, Kalasan District, Sleman Regency by utilizing the Opak River flow. However, the PLTMH generation system is not optimal because there are many factors that cause losses. The purpose of this study is to review the height and water discharge at the PLTMH Dusun Cageran which is currently no longer operating, then recalculate the water discharge using the floating method. The Cageran Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH) is a power plant that is planned to be re-managed by local residents for street lighting electricity. This PLTMH is located in Cageran Village, Tamanmartani District, Sleman Regency by utilizing the Opak River flow. However, the generation system at the Cageran PLTMH is less than optimum because there are many factors that cause losses. The results of the evaluation show that the potential power that can be generated by the Cageran PLTMH in theory is an average of 54,687 kW with a water flow rate of 0.642 m3 /s and a water fall height of 1,221 m. while the output power of HOMER is 36,459 kW. The results were obtained by increasing the head and water flow an increase in the output power of the PLTMH Dusun Cageran, the right solution to increase its output power is to replace or repair a turbine that is no longer functioning.
