Abstract :
Rolling machines are machines that are generally used in fabrication companies or companies that manufacture and produce hot rolled steel and construction and so on. The rolling machine itself functions as a flat form, this flat plane is formed because the movement of the machine The gear is to transmit power and rotation, reduce and accelerate rotation on the rolling machine. Damage that occurs on the gears is caused when the rolling machine operates which has broken and worn on one of the gears. Analysis of mechanical properties was carried out with several tests including, chemical composition testing, hardness testing and wear testing. The results of testing the mechanical properties of the material in the form of violence by comparing the existing literature standards. This test is conducted to find out whether the material used to fill the gears used so far is correct or not.
