Abstract :
The electric power system closest to the customer is the distribution system. The process of distributing electricity to the distribution system is from the substation to the load or customer. The distribution system requires a protection system that functions to minimize disturbance to the feeder. The disturbance that occurs in the Matur feeder from the Padang Luar Substation is a short circuit of 3 phase, 2 phase and 1 phase to ground. Where the largest short-circuit fault is a 3-phase short-circuit fault whose fault location point is in the GI, namely the current value of 6066,294 A. Therefore, a protection system is needed which is in setting the overcurrent relay (OCR) in accordance with the requirements of the relay. as electrical protection. To simulate the coordination of protection in order to know which protection system works as the main and as a backup. The results obtained for setting the overcurrent relay (OCR) at the Padang Luar Substation at the Matur feeder are for the incoming relay the TMS value = 0.210, for the outgoing relay the TMS value = 0.253, for the Balingka recloser the TMS value = 0.074 and for the Matur recloser the TMS value = 0.070
